Joey Sung is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office and has over 12 years of experience in corporate and individual insolvencies, corporate advisory, restructuring, forensic accounting and investigations, financial reviews and litigation support.
Joey has extensive experience in cross-border asset recovery and in recent years, she has also worked closely with boards of listed and large private companies on financial planning, internal control, and cash and working capital management projects.
Joey’s signature case involves providing forensic accounting and litigation support to a conglomerate listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange to investigate the real cause of the loss of USD290 million and assisted in preparing an expert witness report for the Hong Kong High Court.
Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh in 2014, Joey spent 7 years at a leading Chinese accounting firm in Hong Kong, specialising in insolvency and restructuring. She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and was awarded the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ specialist designation in insolvency, SD (Insolvency), in 2019.
Kenny Li is also based in Hong Kong and has over 11 years’ experience of asset tracing and recovery, liquidation and receivership, bankruptcy, corporate rescue and advisory, forensic investigations and asset valuation, most of which involve cross-border work and litigation.
Kenny’s recent work includes formulating and establishing claims against legal and professional firms for negligence and malpractice, providing professional advice to the Board and Audit Committee of a NASDAQ listed company and closely working with a group of international and state owned banks in respect of the bankruptcy of a high net-worth PRC individual with debts of approximately USD2.3 billion with legal proceedings in Hong Kong, US, Singapore, BVI and Cayman.
Kenny joined Borrelli Walsh in 2008. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and was awarded the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ specialist designation in insolvency, SD (Insolvency), in 2019.
Éanna Brennan is based in the firm’s Singapore office and his experience covers both operational and formal restructurings in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand and Europe.
Éanna’s recent work has included the voluntary administration of an operating offshore oil company in New Zealand with over 124 creditors owed in excess of USD320 million and conducting an independent business review of an Irish animation and visual effects production company on behalf of international bondholders to determine short-to-medium term funding requirements.
Éanna has previously worked in audit, transaction & advisory services roles, as well as within leveraged finance and private credit. This experience has included working with public and private companies on debt capital fundraising and informal restructuring of existing debt obligations. Additionally, Éanna spent 2 years working in the aircraft leasing industry, helping to structure new purchase and lease transactions, as well as assisting with the informal restructuring of existing lease debt of customers.
Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh in 2018, Éanna spent over 8 years working at PwC, KKR & Lobo Leasing Ltd in Dublin, Ireland. Éanna is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (“ISCA”). He is registered with ISCA as a Public Accountant (for Judicial Manager appointments) and as a Certified Insolvency Practitioner with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
