Our congratulations to Managing Director Jason Kardachi who has been awarded the TMA International Chapter Impact Award 2019. This is the first year that the Turnaround Management Association (“TMA”) is awarding individuals in the TMA community under this award, and Jason is the first practitioner outside of the United States to have received an Individual award since the launch of the TMA Awards in 1993.
Jason is the founding member of the TMA Southeast Asia (“SEA”) chapter and is the first President of the regional TMA chapter. Jason was formerly a member of the TMA Australia Chapter. Having moved to SEA and having seen SEA’s increased importance in the market for turnaround, restructuring, insolvency and distressed advisory work, he identified a need and an increasing demand for a similar network in the region. Hence, he led establishment of the TMA SEA chapter, along with his founding members, in June 2013.
Jason played an instrumental role in driving the growth of the Chapter through attracting banks, funds, corporates and professional services providers to the membership, as well as leading the delivery of high quality technical programs and regular networking opportunities.
The International Chapter Impact Award is presented to an outstanding individual who founded a TMA chapter, spearheaded a successful chapter program or event, or ran a membership campaign that strengthened the chapter. This award honours the dedication of a TMA member who has shown outstanding leadership and service at the chapter level.
TMA is a professional organization in the corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health space, and seeks to strengthen the global economy by working to save distressed businesses, assist management to navigate off-plan events, and help healthy companies avoid similar pitfalls.
