Ameer Khanbhai is a Chartered Accountant and his experience includes business recovery, contentious insolvency, turnaround and corporate restructuring solutions, relating to a wide range of industries including retail, real estate investments, investment funds, IT and construction in the UK.
Ameer’s notable assignments include complex loss calculations and evaluating and managing of a portfolio of litigations as part of the liquidation of an Unregulated Collected Investment Scheme in the UK; financial investigations including asset tracing, investigating misfeasance, antecedent transactions and breach of director duties relating to a cross border entity; and turnaround management & advisory for the acquirer of the business and assets of a reputable fashion retail company in the UK. His responsibilities include forensic accounting, asset tracing, litigation evaluation, cash-flow analysis and stakeholder management.
Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh, Ameer spent 6 years with at a specialist Corporate Restructuring firm, where he was involved with all aspects of insolvency and restructuring assignments, including administrations, administrative receiverships, voluntary and compulsory liquidations and pre-lending independent business review.
Ameer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics and Geography from the Newcastle University in UK. He is IPA and JIEB qualified and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Ameer speaks English, Russian and Gujarati.
