Chiang Meng is a Director based in our Shanghai office and leads the firm’s operational and financial restructuring in China. Chiang Meng has corporate advisory, restructuring and insolvency experience in Singapore, Indonesia, China and various offshore jurisdictions including compulsory liquidation, provisional liquidation, voluntary liquidations, judicial management, operational and financial restructuring, scheme of arrangements and receiverships.
Chiang Meng has undertaken assignments on behalf of international investors (both debtors and creditors) and these assignments span a broad range of industries including mining, oil and gas exploration and production, manufacturing, palm oil plantations, shipping, offshore marine services and drilling, food and beverage, commodities trading, multimedia and property investment and development in Singapore, Indonesia, China and internationally.
Chiang Meng’s key responsibilities include enforcement, business reviews, new capital raising, debt restructuring and refinancing, operational stabilisation, cost cutting, cash and creditor management and asset divestment for both listed and private companies. Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh, Chiang Meng represented an international bank originating real estate, corporate, IPO, M&A and hedging transactions. Chiang Meng speaks English, Mandarin and basic Bahasa Indonesia.
