Colin Wilson


Professional History

Colin is a Director in the British Virgin Islands office and is a Chartered Certified Accountant.

Colin has over 15 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency matters and has worked on a number of different product offerings ranging from lender lead advisory work, public sector engagements, early options and solvent and insolvent liquidations.

Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh, Colin spent 13 years working for a Big 4 firm in the United Kingdom, where he specialised in the delivery of complex restructurings, with particular focus on manufacturing, property and insurance.

Colin also had the benefit of a nine month secondment to National Australia Bank (NAB). Here he worked with NABs Property Solutions Unit and Strategic Business Services team in the United Kingdom where he was responsible for assessing and delivering strategies in relation to NABs distressed lending portfolio.

Before moving to the British Virgin Islands, Colin completed a two year secondment to KPMG Barbados, where he lead a team in the delivery of the Court appointed Judicial Management of British American Insurance Company (Barbados) Limited (“BAICO”), an insolvent life insurance policy fund with over 15,000 members across the Caribbean. During this time Colin worked with the Barbados Government, officials at the FSC and Ministry of Finance along with the purchaser in order to deliver a solution to the BAICO policyholders.
