Emma joined Borrelli Walsh as a Manager in 2018 and prior to this had gained over nine years’ experience working in corporate recovery and insolvency firms, both in the UK and the Cayman Islands.
Emma has broad experience across various industry sectors, including voluntary liquidations, provisional liquidations, official liquidations, receiverships, administrations and schemes of arrangement. She has a particular interest in complex and contentious insolvency matters.
Notably, while in the Cayman Islands, Emma managed the liquidation of a Fund which invested substantially in the Bernard Madoff Ponzi Scheme and progressed a number of high profile litigation claims with a view to securing value for defrauded investors. Emma also worked closely on the provisional liquidation of a China based entity which resulted in multi-jurisdictional debt restructuring through a Scheme of Arrangement.
