Michael Elgort is the firm’s Regional Vice President for the Commonwealth Independent States (“CIS”) and is based in Singapore.
Michael has more than 10 years of experience in corporate governance, M&A, due diligence, litigation and corporate advisory in Israel, Russia and CIS. Michael’s experience also includes investment analysis, corporate negotiation and business development for companies in Russia, Israel, Central Asia and Singapore.
Since 2008, Michael has been practicing law in multiple jurisdictions representing clients in multi-layer negotiations and cross-border transactions. His industry experience includes oil and gas (Gazprom), telecommunications and technology (MTS, cVidia, Mobidom), healthcare (Cintec Medical, Electron), aviation (Tal Aviation), heavy machinery (AgroMach holding) and others.
Currently, Michael serves as a board member of Medtehnika JSC, a Russian medical supply and design holding company, and SeaRocks Ltd., an Israeli innovative construction and development company. He is also advising governments and corporations on marine and underwater engineering and construction.
Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh, Michael advised on investment strategy and M&A matters relating to state and private companies, with an interest in Israel, Central Asia and CIS markets.
Michael speaks English, Hebrew, Russian and German.
