Professional History

Rassul Rysmambetov is the firm’s Regional Vice President for the Commonwealth Independent States (“CIS”) and is based in Kazakhstan.

Rassul’s experience includes legal advisory, investment analysis, complex investment negotiations, public relations and government relations (“PR/GR”) advisory to global corporates, business development for media companies, and financial consulting in the banking sector in CIS (Former Soviet Union), particularly in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine.

Since 2002, Rassul has helped developed two global news and data-mining agencies in CIS, and also developed corporate strategy for 3 Element LLP, a technology company. Currently, Rassul is also a member of the expert council of Kazakhstan’s National bank.

Before joining Borrelli Walsh, Rassul provided legal advice, financial strategy, public-private projects and M&A transactions. He worked on several complex projects for the regional state agencies.

Rassul speaks English, Kazakh, Uzbek, Russian and Korean.
