Serena is an Assistant Manager based in our Beijing office. Her experience covers forensic investigation, financial advisory, asset management and corporate recovery across a wide range of industries, such as medical, retail and distribution, financial services, clean energy and mining, oil & gas, food and beverage, real estate and construction, government and manufacturing in the Asia Pacific region, including PRC, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Serena’s recent assignments relate to the forensic investigation of a Chinese medical company, including the extensive investigation into the affairs of its PRC subsidiaries and establishing the whereabouts of US$670 million raised in the United States securities market. She was responsible for the review of the audit work papers and providing litigation support in legal proceedings in Hong Kong.
Serena has also previously worked on the realisation of assets for end-of-life private equity funds with clean energy investments in China; and the investigation into the fraudulence of a Jewish hedge fund based in New York as well as a fashion brand based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh, Serena spent 3.5 years in the assurance division of a Big 4 accounting firm in the Hong Kong and Australia offices, and the internal auditing department of a Japanese financial services company.
Serena speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
